Located in the basement of the FAITH Office, food items are distributed through the Emergency and Monthly Food Programs.

This program serves individuals that are food unstable and are unable to provide groceries for their families. Clients that are accepted into the program receive groceries once every 3 months.

This grocery list includes: • Rice and Oil • Salt and Sugar • Laundry Detergent • Canned goods • Fresh produce from a local farmer’s market.

In celebration of Eid-Al-Adha, one of the most expensive food items of meat is donated to those in need.

PROJECT FOOD BOOST

HERNDON WITHOUT HUNGER

“The idea behind Herndon without Hunger is that for a month we can help people with food so that they can take care of other expenses or focus on improving their current situation. The issue of hunger has been very close to my heart. To feed a person that is hungry is a noble deed and as Muslims we are required to serve our neighbors.”

Tanveer Mirza, President of FAITH

Herndon Without Hunger is a community event that occurs every week during the month of Ramadan. Our sponsor Easterns Automotive along with FAITH volunteers distribute a 3 month supply of food to anyone who comes to the location no questions asked.
