FAITH started at the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) as an informal group helping people in need. As the need for such help increased and the services became more formal and professional this group decided to become a separate, non-profit organization servicing Northern Virginia. In October of 1999 Foundation for Appropriate and Immediate Temporary Help (FAITH Social Services) was established.
